Edradour 12 Years Old Caledonia

Brand: Edradour
Capacity: 70cl
Country: Scotland
Region: Highland

"Caledonia" is the Latin name the Romans gave the land known as present-day Scotland. Dougie MacLean is a Scottish singer/songwriter who penned a song, a love letter really, to his former homeland entitled "Caledonia." Originally released as a single-barrel that Dougie himself helped to pick, this is now a standard bottling for Edradour. The Edradour 12 Years Old Caledonia whisky spends its final four years of aging in an ex-sherry cask.

The Edradour 12 Years Old Caledonia has a sweet, creamy and honeyed nose, with notes of Manuka honey, hints of dried fig and date, soft sherry and oak. The whisky is full and rich with notes of berry fruits, and honey and butter on granary toast. More sherry, caramel and toasted almond are evident. The Caledonia finishes spicy, dry with a dusting of cocoa.
