The Domaine Julien Masquin Chateauneuf du Pape Pignan has a beautiful red colour with carmine reflections. Fruity aromas dominated by cherry and Morello cherry. The wine has a soft, indulgent, and balanced palate which gives off an impression of elegance and richness.
The Domaine Julien Masquin Chateauneuf du Pape Pignan will age beautifully for 15 years and above.
"For the 2021 vintage this is rich and silky, but with a healthy tannin core on the medium- to full-bodied palate. Abundant baking-spice character and a touch of candied orange slices. The hint of bitterness at the finish lifts it nicely. A pure grenache from a vineyard site with sandy soil. Sustainable. Drink or hold." - James Suckling, 92 points
