A blend of Tempranillo, Merlot and Albillo.

The Arzuaga Reserva is clean and bright with a ruby red colour surrounded by purple hues. The ripe red fruits from the aromas of the grape dominate within the aromatic complexity. These primary aromas intertwine in a very elegant way with tertiary aromas such as roasted aromas and spices from a clean and subtle barrel. The aromatic profile extends onto the palate smoothly. The Arzuaga Reserva is unctuous, velvety and tasty with an elegant step and great persistence.

The quality curve goes up exponentially with the Arzuaga Reserva. The Tempranillo is over 95% of the blend. The wine spent 30 months in new French oak barrels which besides helping the components integrate, added a subtle spice flavour to the wine. The finish is very long. The Reserva is in that sweet spot where you can understand why both the winery and Ribera del Duero in general are popular red wine destinations for connoisseurs.
