Cherry colour with purplish edge robe. Fresh aromas. High level of fruity notes (sarsaparilla and blackcurrant) liquorice.  The Arzuaga Navarro La Planta features some toasted noble wood notes such as cedar. The aromas on nose are the perfect precedent for the flavours on mouth. It is a silky and tasty wine. The fruitiness (youth) has a perfect balance with the elegance (aging in barrels). It is a semicrianza, mature and rounded wine.

The La Planta is a fruit forward, very palatable modern style red wine. It’s not a wine that you would automatically associate with Spain and Ribera del Duero in particular but it is an enjoyable wine that offers great value. If you are looking for a bottle to bring to a party or a BBQ, the La Planta would work perfectly. The fruits come from the La Planta estate vineyard with vines that are over 20 years old.
