I have a friend who unabashedly declares her love for Ruinart Blanc de Blancs and I can understand why. The champagne gives off a multitude of aromas that are complex yet inviting. You can put your mind to naming all the aromas that come up (and there are many), or you can simply quieten down and enjoy the ride. For me, the clincher is that this champagne has a very nice creamy texture that fills the mouth but does not dominate the palate. I get a lot of fresh citrusy fruits and minerality that is wrapped within a buttery shell. So with each sip I am getting the total package. I am generally not a big fan of commercial labels, but the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is a champagne I unreservedly recommend to customers looking to buy Chardonnay based champagnes.
