The M Chapoutier Cornas Les Arenes Rouge has an intense red colour with purple lights. The palate shows very ripe fruits, raspberry and blackcurrant jams. Blackberries, spices, morello cherry. The tannins are dense and tight with a great persistency in mouth.
“There are three Cornas releases. Coming from more decomposed granite soils, the ruby/plum-hued Cornas Les Arênes offers up an almost Côte Rôtie-like perfume of red and black fruits, flowers, spice, and hints of leather. I love its complexity, and it’s ripe and rounded on the palate, with fine, silky tannins and no hard edges.” – Jeb Dunnuck, 94 Points
