Emilio Lustau Manzanilla Papirusa Solera Familiar NV

Winery: Emilio lustau
Country: Spain
Region: Others
Body: Medium full

Appellation: Jerez

Aged following a biological ageing, under a veil of yeast called “flor” in the cool, humid, salty air of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, a fishing town on the estuary of the Guadalquivir river.

The Emilio Lustau Manzanilla Papirusa Solera Familiar has a bright yellow colour with golden reflections. It is laced with sea breeze scents and pleasant chamomile and flor aromas. The wine is bone dry and light, fresh and crisp, with a hint of sea salt on the palate. It is delicate and refreshingly acid with a lingering aftertaste. Papirusa means “elegant and beautiful”. It was the name of the doll that Emilio Lustau gave the daughter of Joaquín Burgos, first manager of Bodegas Lustau in the ’40s.
