The Mount Horrocks Alexander Vineyard Shiraz is biodynamically produced from a low yielding single vineyard. Only 242 cases were produced.
The Mount Horrocks Alexander Vineyard Shiraz has a bright dark cherry red colour. It has rich, spiced plum aromas with a lick of cedar-like oak. On the palate, plush red fruits, dark chocolate and forest with lingering spice and attractive peppery tannins. The Mount Horrocks Alexander Vineyard Shiraz carries its weight well delivering a smart mid-weight shiraz to enjoy immediately or after 10 to 15 years in the cellar.
"Excellent purple/black hue. In a way a commanding wine, yet it has alluring perfume, and a wave of spices over black fruit. Full bodied, deep, earthly and complex. Ribbons of tannins strung through, a touch raspy (presumably from toasty oak) but either way, it offers a solid drink today, or more refinement in a few years." - James Suckling, 95 points
