Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aîné, founded in 1834, is a historic wine estate in the Northern Rhône Valley. Based in Tain-l’Hermitage, it’s known for producing wines that highlight the region’s varied terroirs, with standout offerings from appellations such as Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, and Cornas. The estate’s flagship wine, Hermitage La Chapelle, is widely respected for its structure and aging potential.
In 2006, the estate was acquired by the Frey family, with Caroline Frey taking the lead in revitalizing viticulture and winemaking through biodynamic methods. Jaboulet emphasizes a careful balance between tradition and sustainability, focusing on expressing the unique character of each vineyard.
Its wines are noted for their clarity, refinement, and sense of place—appealing to those interested in thoughtful craftsmanship and Rhône Valley expression.
