Long known as the wine for kings, Barolo is one of Italy's greatest contribution to the vino world. Made from the Nebbiolo grape in the northern region of Piedmont, Barolo has undergone transformation over the decades from a dry, tannic red wine to one that is fruiter and made in an earlier drinking style. Barolo is crafted under the strictest rules and the patient drinker is often rewarded with a powerful wine that is layered and juicy with a silky smooth and long finish. Typically, the Barolos from Barolo and La Morra are lighter and fruiter in style and can be consumed earlier, whereas those from Castiglione Falleto, Serralunga d'Alba and Montforte d'Alba are more robust and will benefit from longer term cellaring.
Shop from our top selections of Barolo from the famous communes of Barolo, La Morra, Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d’Alba, and Monforte d’Alba. Enjoy free shipping with a minimum spend and discounts on 12 bottle mixed case purchase. Applicable only to full priced labels.
