Stand with Ukraine. Stand for Humanity.

The Russian war of aggression against Ukraine last week goes against Wines Online's firm beliefs in the basic right of every human individual to live peacefully and free from harm. As a company established in Singapore, a geographically tiny country with a small population, we recognise that if we allow might to equal right and accept that a sovereign state and its people can only exist with the blessings of its bigger neighbours, we can never live as dignified individuals.

In support of the Ukrainian struggles and in solidarity with the people there, we have removed all Russian produced merchandise from our online store and bottle shop with immediate effect. We have the greatest respect and appreciation for our Russian customers in Singapore and our Russian vendors. They are good honest people. We recognise that our voice is tiny and our action will not move the needle even by a nano bit, but we simply can’t accept that our business may contribute even a cent to the Russian war machine through the tax coffers.

At this time, our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Ukraine and the brave souls in Russia who are protesting the war. May sensibility prevail and people pick up the pieces of their shattered lives soon. #StandwithUkraine #StandforHumanity
