About the wine

The Terrazas de los Andes Reserva Malbec is made from grapes harvested in the foothills of the Andes at an elevated altitude of 1070 meters above sealevel. The age of the vineyards are between 20 and 80 years old. After crushing, the wine is aged in French oak barrels for at least a year before commercial release. The cool climate, old vine age and extended barrel maturity result in a Malbec that is elegant even as the varietal is famous for being powerful and packed with loads of fruits.

The current vintage has not been rated but the previous 5 vintages have all been rated above 90 points by wine critics including James Suckling and Decanter. At this price point, the Terrazas de los Andes Reserva Malbec offers great value.
