    Sociando-mallet is a highly-respected Haut-Médoc property way up in Saint-Seurin-de-Cadoune, north of Saint-Estephe, overlooking the Gironde. Bought as 5 ha in a semi- ruined state in 1969, by Jean-Gautreau. He has invested heavily and it now comprises 120 ha, 83 of which are vines. Sociando-Mallet wines are known for their accessibility in youth.
