The Guardian Peak SMG is ripe and packed with lots of mouthwatering fig, boysenberry and raspberry compote flavours that pump through, supported by toasted vanilla and red licorice notes. Shows good drive through the finish to match the heft. The palate is medium-bodied with smooth and sumptuous red berry fruit, well-judged acidity and a caressing, sweet finish.

The Guardian Peak SMG is created in the southern Rhone style with a blend of the syrah, mourvedre and grenache grapes. This wine is full bodied and rich in tannins but with time in the bottle, the tannins have softened considerably. We are now enjoying the quality of the Guardian Peak SMG. The wine has a mildly earthy tone which you will find very appealing if you love red meats.
