A blend of Tempranillo and Albillo.
High intensity, cardinal red with intense purple hues. The Arzuaga Navarro Reserva Especial shows broad and intense aromas of black fruit compote, mint, cocoa and a light background of roasted and caramel tones. Very fine and complex aromas evolve throughout the tasting. The first sensations are fresh and friendly, giving way to characterize a meaty wine. The wine ends with a long aftertaste with spicy aromas and caramel notes.
The Arzuaga Reserva Especial is made intermittently only in good years and in small quantities. The grapes come from century old vines. These low yielding vines produce a lot less fruit but the intensity of each grape is incomparable. The wine is a blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Albillo which is a white grape that adds floral fragrance to a palate that speaks of red and black fruits, spice and tobacco.
