The Montes Alpha Special Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon is more powerful and elegant upgrade over the Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose has standout ripe fruit aromas of blackberries, blueberries, and plums. Pleasant blackcurrant liqueur and subtle licorice notes are complemented by tones of sweet spices and pastry. The 16 months in contact with French oak lends this wine complexity and character, with light lactic tones and enjoyable toasted notes that are perfectly harmonized with the fruit. Subtle tobacco notes complete the aromatic palette of this wine, highlighting the DNA of the Colchagua Cabernet. The palate is juicy and very well balanced, with ripe tannins, generous volume, and a long, elegant finish.
