A blend of indigenous Georgian grapes Rkatsiteli and Kisi. The Rkatsiteli comes from 25-year-old vines grown on blue slate subsoil, producing grapes with character. The Kisi comes from younger vineyards planted on hillsides on limestone soils.
The Ilia Estate Taoba Orange has a beautiful bitter orange marmalade colour. On the nose, intoxicating aromas of dried apricots, honey, orange peel and a light culinary herb taste. The wine reveals a wonderfully structured complexity with a hint of tannins.
