An independent bottling of Mortlach single malt which has been matured for 25 years. This expression was released as part of Gordon & MacPhail's Distillery labels series.
The Gordon & MacPhail 25 YO Mortlach Single Malt Whisky has a nose of orange peel, toasted barley, a touch of good old Cognac. On the palate, stewed blackberries and cooked apples are evident, with a good whack of cinnamon thrown in. Subtle malty vanilla in the background. The finish gives an impression of chilli-chocolate and coffee beans.
