A blend of Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah.
Made from equal proportions of grapes from Domaine de Nalys' three plots, the blend is dominated by Grenache (2/3) and Syrah (1/4). Cinsault, Muscardin, Counoise and Mourvedre bring complexity to the wine. Aged primarily in stainless steel tank, the Domaine de Nalys Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Saintes Pierres de Nalys' is elegant and punchy with seductive aromas of fresh fruits. The red Saintes Pierres de Nalys is a wonderful expression of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation with round and generous tannins and lovely frame. Enjoyed young, it is full of richness and freshness.
"Pretty raspberry and strawberry shadings appear on the nose of the 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape Saintes Pierres, joined by pie cherries and slightly herbal notions of garrigue. It's medium to full-bodied, with a silky texture and a firm, gently tannic finish." - RP, 92 points
"Aromas of lilies, green apples and elderberries. Medium-bodied. Rather crisp. Fresh and bright with some nice driving acidity. Oyster shell and lemon peel. Restrained. 36% clairette, 29% bourbolenc, 25% grenache blanc, 7% roussanne, 3% picardan." - James Suckling, 91 points
