Wines Online Top 40 Wines of 2020

2020 was a big emotional rollercoaster. When Singapore went into circuit breaker mode, we feared that our business might never make it out alive. Our bottle shop was shuttered and we weren’t sure if we could continue to operate online. Early government directives weren’t always clear, and we were always busy playing catch up to the latest announcements. Thankfully, after the initial confusion, we were given green light to carry on. The decision to classify liquor businesses as essential service providers proved succinct. I like to think that liquor businesses played a large part in soothing the nerves of many people stuck at home during this period. If toilet paper was the number 1 prized commodity, alcoholic beverage came in a close second. On my delivery runs, I met many customers who were deeply relieved when their orders were delivered to their doors, some with a tear in the eye as their precious loot was laid before them.

The Top 40 Wines of 2020 list is especially significant as it represents last year’s most in demand wines that provided comfort to our customers. On this note, we want to thank you for choosing us to meet your beverage needs during those trying times. Also, for our affected customers, we want to apologize again for having taken longer than usual to fulfill your orders. We have since taken steps to ensure we turnaround your order as fast as possible. These included expanding our own storage space to keep fast moving items to make us less reliant on external warehousing vendors and hiring extra help. We now fulfil 97% of our orders within 2 working days. We are exploring ways to be even better, and we ask for your patience as we work on improving our operations in the coming months.
