Grapes taken off 40 year old vines. Elegant aroma of great complexity which highlights the citrus notes of grapefruit, pineapple and the tropical Mediterranean peach. Mineral much more evident on the palate, velvety presented with a very fresh and fruity finish.
Xarel.lo (pronounced: shah-rare-loo) is an indigenous Spanish grape often blended with other varietals in the making of cava. On its own, the Xarel.lo is aromatic, vibrant and fresh, with lively acids and a strong mineral backbone. We can hardly find a 100% Xarel.lo in Singapore and it is a shame, as this wine is highly versatile and pairs especially well with shellfish and other seafood. The Sumarroca Xarel.lo is one of the best examples of a good Spanish Xarel.lo and an excellent option for anyone who is adventurous.
