Prosecco is the traditional Sparkling Wine of Northern Italy made from the grape of the same name. Unlike Champagne, Prosecco is made using the Charmat method, which is tank fermented as opposed to bottle. Prosecco is the lastest in the batch of Italian varieties to be released by Coriole – inspired by Tim Lloyd, young brother of Mark. It is a fresh and delicate style Sparkling wine…the perfect aperitif. The Coriole Prosecco's nose displays apple, lemon sherbet, pear and citrus notes. The palate is light and crisp with green apple, spearmint and mandarin. It’s vibrant and pure in the mouth with a gentle, creamy texture. It finishes balanced with delicate, fine acidity.

This is a really cool wine to drink and behold. Askewing the traditional cork enclosure, Coriole chose to seal this wine with a bottle cap. This makes perfect sense if you think of serving the wine quick and on the go. The bottle is heavy set and funky looking. Ignoring the obvious marketing approach the winery has adopted for the wine, we actually do enjoy this prosecco a lot. At 12% alcohol, this wine has a nice palate feel and is very delicious. It's well worth a try and in our opinion a lot better than many proseccos in the market now.
