The Clos Du Val Hirondelle Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon is from the famed Stags Leap District in Napa. This wine is the direct descendant of the Clos Du Val Cabernet Sauvignon 72 that went head to head with top French Bordeaux including Chateau Mouton-Rothschild and Chateau Haut-Brion in “The Judgement of Paris” blind tasting in 1976. Expect aromas of ripe black and purple fruit, black pepper and subtle hints of toast. The flavours are evocative of black forest fruits, dark chocolate shavings, plum and toffee. This wine can be cellared for 10+ years or enjoyed now with decanting.
