Appellation: Saint-Estèphe (1855 Bordeaux Classification: Second Growth).

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet franc and Petit Verdot.

Dense purple colour. The very complex nose offers up notes of black fruit, tobacco, and violet. The Chateau Montrose tastes rich and fresh on the palate delivering aromas of black fruit, chocolate, and zan. It is a very pleasant wine, well balanced, fruity and fresh, finishing with a beautiful length with clear tannins offering up sucrosity.
