The Cousino Macul Antiguas Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon is deep and youthful red purple in colour. It has powerful aromas of cassis, cherry, tobacco and spicy vanilla. Medium to full-bodied with good flavour intensity and an attractive balance between ripe berry fruit, integrated acidity and savoury tannins, which emerge on the finish, alongside notes of liquorice and tobacco.

Beautiful Belgian dark chocolate aromas assail the nose when this bottle was first opened. The wine then starts to exhibit black fruit aromas of blackcurrants and plum, with a hint of spice thrown into the mix. The Cousino Macul Antiguas Cabernet Sauvignon is a perfectly balanced wine that continues to evolve positively as we drink it over lunch. Great especially with charcoal grilled dishes. We like how the wine and the wood char flavours of the food seem to commingle effortlessly. This wine can be cellared for 3 years but we are more than happy to drink it now.
